Normally, non-football fans say that they are only watching the Super Bowl for the halftime show. 2024 provided another reason for several non-football fans to be invested in the game, Taylor Swift. Arguably the world's biggest star in entertainment, T-Swift fans have been watching anxiously, hoping to catch a glimpse of the 11-time platinum artist.
Well, fans who actually attended the game between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs were given a little bit extra. And this is something that both football fans and non-football fans can root for.
Fans have to respect the chug
The ability to chug alcohol effectively has long been heralded among sports fans. It's actually something that is expected of several NFL players, especially offensive linemen.
One quick search on Google or Twitter will net you a litany of results showing star NFL players chugging alcohol. Here's one such example of Green Bay Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari chugging his beer at a Milwaukee Bucks game.
Taylor Swift's chug came in at a very respectable 6.6 seconds. Clearly, Travis Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, an offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been showing Swift how to chug. Perhaps he gave her a few pointers in their suite prior to her performance on the jumbotron.
It's also worth noting that Swift destroyed her friend who was also on screen chugging her drink. She also indulged in the applause she was receiving from fans afterwards. Even the most-hardened NFL fans, who despised seeing Swift at every Chiefs game, have to respect her ability to down her beverage, right?
As you can tell by the video, Ice Spice is sitting next to Taylor Swift, but did not partake in any such chug. Perhaps she'll be the next celebrity to down her drink in front of the thousands of fans.
Seemingly wine or beer
Since we cannot 100 percent confirm what Taylor Swift was drinking, we can only say that, much like when Swift was seen eating chicken tenders with a white condiment during a Chiefs game earlier this year, that she was drinking "seemingly" beer or wine.
What could it be? We can't be certain, but the day I claim to have more information than the official Eras Tour media handler will never come.
